Milkmaid Braids

Sorry some of these pictures aren't the best! It's hard to get a good shot of the right angle of the up-do. This look is a little on the messier side but I hope you enjoy it!

Start by taking small sections of hair from the top of your head and lightly tease each section.

Divide all of your hair into two sections. Try to make the sections as even as possible.

Messily braid both sections of your hair.

Pull the braid and put it on top of your head and bobby pin.

Repeat with the other side. Place the braids as close to your hairline as possible

Bobby pin the braids in place and hide the ends of the braids by tucking them under the other braid.

Pull out a few strands to frame your face. You can curl them if you'd like.

This look is a bit messy and is good for lounging around, but you can make the braids neater so the up-do isn't so messy.

I know I haven't posted anything new in a couple months because it's summer and I've been on vacation! I can't wait to come up with some summer hair do's.... I'll be positing soon!

How to Curl Your Hair (My favorite way)

Section off the top half of your hair.

Secure with a clip.

Grab a a medium size section of hair.

Take a curling iron (any size, but the smaller the better) and turn it upside down. Carefully wrap the hair around the iron.

Open up the curling iron a little bit and put the end of your hair in, then clamp down.

This way you can  keep the curl there without having to use your hands.

Repeat this step until you've curled all of your hair. Separate a few of the curls and this is the finished look!

(OPTIONAL)

Grab the top half of your hair.

Twist.

Push it upward to create volume.

Secure with bobby pins and your done!

Ballerina Bun

Start with texturized hair. My hair is naturally wavy, so if your's is straight, make a few loose curls and tease it in random sections.

Gather all of your hair.

Grab all of your hair and put it on top of your head.

Take a ponytail the same color as your hair and wrap it around the bun a few times. ( Don't wrap it around too many times or else your bun will stand off of your head.)

Gently tug at the sides.

Take bobby pins and pin around the bottom of the bun.

Here it is!

If you want to accessorize it, I just put on a lacy head-wrap, and a bobby pin flower.

I hope you enjoyed this! The flower is from Charlotte Russe, and the head-wrap is from Icing.

Elegant Messy Up-Do

Tease the top section of your hair.

Take a curling iron (any size) and make loose curls. It's okay if they're messy.

Take any headband, I have a braided one, and place over your hair.

Secure it in the back with bobby pins.

Grab a section of hair and gently twist upward.

Gently make a messy clump with your hair, and then bobby pin it.

Repeat this step until you've secured all of your hair.

Make sure to cover the bottom of the headband when you pin your hair.

Spray in some hairspray, and here's the finished look!
